Mac OS X Installation InstructionsMac OS versions 10.6-10.9BinariesA precompiled binary is available for 64-bit Intel based Macs on the amide web page. This is currently built on OS 10.9, but will likely work for OS versions 10.7 and 10.8 as well. If you have OS 10.6 the last version that will likely work for you is AMIDE version 1.0.4. Head to the AMIDE sourceforge page. To download a file that'll be called: amide-VERSION_NUM_osx_64bit_v1.zip If you have older mac hardware that runs in 32-bit mode, you'll want to download a 32-bit version. The last version built with 32-bit support was version 1.0.4. amide-VERSION_NUM_osx_32bit_v1.zip You should be able to unzip this file, double clip on the resulting app, and be on your way. Mac OS versions 10.5 and priorFor these older versions of Mac OS X, you can try the supplied binary below that is intended for 10.6. If this doesn't work, you can try the much more complicated old installation instructions, although these are no longer supported and may not work. Building from SourceThis is a long and arduous process. If you want to do AMIDE development, you're probably better off operating in a better supported operating system environment (e.g. Linux). Still want to proceed? Notes on the current process can be found here. |
