Links:
- Directly relevant to AMIDE:
- (X)medcon/libmdc:
This is an extremely useful medical image conversion utility
and library written by Erik Nolf and others.
-
Volpack: is a software volume rendering package written by
Philippe Lacroute. This library hasn't been updated since 1994,
so if you want code, I'd suggest getting my
version of the library off of sourceforge.
- Libfame: This library is
used for encoding MPEG1 files when generating movies with AMIDE.
If you download a binary version of AMIDE, it's probably linked
against the version of libfame available at FreshRPMs.
- Fink: is a great
tool/distribution if you want more advanced unix abilities
on your Mac OS X box
- Other Medical Imaging software for Linux:
- GpetView:
GTK based Analyze image viewer
- MRIcro:A
medical image view for windows and unix
- JIV:
A "3D image data visualization and comparison tool", written in Java.

- mpeg_encode:
Berkeley's mpeg encoding program, written by a whole host of
people. This code hasn't been updated since 1995, so if you
want code, I'd suggest getting my
version of the package off of sourceforge. This package was
used for mpeg encoding with versions of AMIDE previous to 0.7.4.
It's now been supplanted by libfame.
